BASELWORLD 2015: INTRODUCING THE TUDOR FASTRIDER CHRONO
The Tudor watch manufacturer prepared a surprise for those who are bored with wearing “serious” watches. The brand launched three new versions of the FastRider chronograph in 2015. The watches differ from their predecessors in the renewed design, and differ each from other in the design of the dial. The models are available in olive green, yellow and red dials. You might think that the colors remind a traffic light, but in fact, the brand refers to youth motorcycles Ducati Scrambler: Tudor is cooperating with the brand, which paints its motorbikes in those colors.
The watch cases are made of brushed steel, and Tudor used a black matte ceramic for manufacturing a bezel. The case diameter is 42 mm. Chronograph pushers and crown are made of black DLC-coated steel.
The Tudor FastRider Chrono hands are powered by Valjoux 7753 automatic movement with chronograph function and date indicator. The date still needs to be set via the shield-shaped corrector. The button is buried into the case band located at 9 o’clock. The watch is water resistant to 150 meters. Power reserve is 46 hours.
The Tudor FastRider Chrono watch sells completed with rubber and leather straps. Sticker price is CHF3,900.
